The goal of this special event is to support mental health and create a safe space for teen boys and their father or male mentor. This may be a cousin, coach or teacher. Burgers will be provided for lunch. Sign up now... space limited!

Ostin Celestin, LMHC, MFT, QS, EMDR & DBT will focus on the topic of communication. Struggling with knowing how to have those tough conversations? As a young man initiating those talks with a father figure, coach or mentor can be very difficult.  So, if you want to learn how to talk to one another about bullying, peer pressure, drugs, sex, or mental health, then please join us! The concepts and points discussed during the presentation will help you, your parents, mentors, and caregivers create space and opportunity to have a healthy and productive dialogue about problematic issues and concerns.

Dre Johnson, LCSW, will present on the topic of self-care. Self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health and taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress. There will have an interactive icebreaker at the beginning of the presentation.

Parents/legal guardians must register their teen with the link provided. Please note, click on the Activities tab, scroll down to Recreation, and click on the ARP Resources, Service & Interventions for Youth & Families to view Burgers & Bros.
